This Grapefruit Tree sat right outside our front door at the Val Vista Village RV Park that we stayed at in Mesa, Arizona. Mom picked some of the grapefruit off the tree and we both enjoyed the treat. That was the first time I’d tasted grapefruit. Not bad!
This RV park was my first time staying in an area without any grass. It really confused me until I had no choice but to use it.
Dad was able to back the RV in with a lot of hand motions. The streets in this village are narrow but the spaces allow you a spot to park your car. It is tight and sometimes you can look inside your neighbors car while you’re eating breakfast but, Mom discourages me from doing that.
This is Charlie, my Aunt Leslie’s dog. I have never seen such a happy hopping dog. His energy never seemed to end and I finally laid down by Mom’s feet and hid my head behind her purse hoping Charlie wouldn’t find me. I needed a breather!
Back to the business of the RV Park. It was big and very busy with RV’s coming and going. They have a lot of park models and this is permanent residence for a lot of the people. We saw quite a few snowbirds while we were there in March.
On a scale of 1-5 trees, with 5 trees being the highest, I would rate this as….
The park was clean and had a guard on duty at the front for most of the day and evening. The staff was friendly and helpful and the village had a lot of amenities. This park was nice but a bit too big for us.
Until next time, keep your journeyz safe and we’ll see you on the trail!
